The Food for Life Get Togethers team in Scotland are offering up to ￡150 to help people get a “Get Together” off the ground in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverclyde.

The project in Sandfield Close Primary School, Leicester involved a group of ladies who met at the school regularly. With Food for Life Funding and The Big Lottery, an intergenerational project was developed around healthy eating and food.
Having seen many intergenerational programmes in the USA specifically target vulnerable children because of the beneficial impact it has upon their well-being, confidence, speech and language we decided to look at increasing the time and opportunities for the young children and the older adults to spend together.
In Autumn 2018 children and older people came together to plant bulbs in Bervie, creating intergenerational friendships and linking the community in the process.
